If in doubt, we recommend the S series as the richer and fuller sounding version. The V series Eb and D have a slightly smaller body diameter and therefore sound softer. All Kildare models have separate head and body sections with a slightly tapered bore. Pitch can easily be adjusted by pulling jointed sections in or out as needed.

This is exactly as described and what I needed to prevent heat creep from my hot end to the thermistor on my 3D printer.
