Nitrile rubber can tolerate short term dry running of the sealing lip. The operating temperature range without failure of nitrile rubber is 40 to +100 C. Less than a week of use and peeling

I got this as a gift for my husband and he used it for less than a week and the edges are already peeling. It seems more plastic than real leather. Very disappointing for the price. Would not expect this from Carhartt as their quality is typically very good.
