Weighing in at 3 lbs. 4 0z., it has a 4 1 4" diameter cast iron base for stability and 5 8" maximum clamping capacity for the largest micrometers. The pivoting mounting mechanism allows 70 degrees of arc for setting the micrometer at the most desirable angle. Angle setting secures as you tighten the knob.

Beautiful gold, bigger than anticipated

This is very pretty and matched my gold fixtures well. It is a heavy piece. I was a little surprised because I anticipated it being smaller, however it’s rather substantial. I don’t mind the look and did keep item. Everyone in the family noticed, and I live in a house of boys so that’s saying a lot.
